VERMONT SPRING CHICKEN

Yield: 6 servings
 
      1    Chicken, 2 1/2 to 3 lbs.,           1 ts Salt
           -cut up                             1 ds Of pepper
    1/2 c  Butter, melted                    1/4 c  Almonds, chopped
    1/2 c  Maple syrup                         2 ts Lemon juice
    1/2 ts Grated lemon rind              
 
  Place chicken pieces in shallow buttered baking dish. Mix remaining
  ingredients and pour evenly over chicken. Bake uncovered 50-60 minutes at
  400 F. Baste occasionally. Delicious on a bed of rice
