CHICKEN BOOYAH

Yield: 4 servings
 
      5 lb Stewing chicken                     8 c  Potatoes
  2 1/2 c  Onions                            1/2 lb Split green peas
  1 1/2 lb Beef stew meat                      4 c  Shredded cabbage
      3 c  Celery                              2 c  Canned whole tomatoes
    1/4 lb Lean pork                           4 tb Butter
    1/2    Lemon, cut in pieces                4 c  Carrots
    1/2 lb Dried navy beans, soaked       
 
  salt and pepper to taste
  
  Cover meat with cold water and slowly bring to boil.  Skim and simmer for 1
  hour.  Add beans, peas, tomatoes, carrots, onions, celery and lemon. Cook 3
  hours.  Add remaining ingredients and simmer 30 minutes. Makes about 4
  gallons.  Keep adding water during cooking to keep vegetables and meat
  covered.
